The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is proud to present the 2024 Top Hat award to
Gilda Moore, of the St. Francis Xavier Conference!
Many of us know her as ‘Cuqui’. During her 18 years as a Vincentian, she’s also been known as conference president, board member, recruiter, and spiritual leader.
Gilda is also a committed mentor, sharing years of knowledge and experience, while empowering conference members to be the best advocates for those in need. Listening carefully and respectfully to neighbors is what Cuqui instills in her conference members.
Her generosity and tireless efforts to help the community in any way she can is valued by the members of the SXF parish and the St. Vincent de Paul New Orleans Vincentian family.

A dual citizen of the United States and Cuba, Cuqui often serves as an interpreter for Spanish speaking families; most recently, she made herself available to translate for a young human trafficking survivor and her child.
She is not only a respected Vincentian but was also recognized by the Archdiocese of New Orleans as an Order of St. Louis IX Medallion. We are proud to have Gilda represent the Society!
Come out and join us as we honor Gilda 'Cuqui' Moore, on June 21st!
